Head of Rosatom Sergei Kiriyenko said that he would undertake a visit to Iran on 11 December and the principal purpose of this visit will be an intergovernmental commission meeting.
“I plan to be in Iran on December 11, but mainly trip is not with Bucher, although we will discuss this question, too, and it is linked to the intergovernmental commission meeting, which I am co-chair,” said S. Kiriyenko at a press briefing in Moscow on Tuesday. “As for the construction of nuclear power plants in Boucher, we have agreed timetable,” stressed the head of Rosatom. He noted that at the time of the signing of the agreement between Russia and Iran on the return of SNF and fuel supply, “no risk activities in the Busher nuclear power plant in terms of the non-proliferation regime, the possibility of dual-use items do not exist by definition.”
“Today, it is absolutely clear to the professionals and experts in this part. And I can say that over the last year the issues in the Busher nuclear power plant was not raised by our colleagues in the European Union and the United States, “he said.
According S. Kiriyenko, in the Busher nuclear power plant meets all safety criteria.
